Comprehensive
The msi 4400 is the
most comprehensive 8vsb monitor on the market today.
A single screen provides at-a-glance information of the most important
parameters of the 8vsb signal.
Hardware
The msi 4400 Analyzer includes
a single rack unit controller that receives and evaluates
the 8vsb signal and relays the data to a Windows-based
PC. The front panel indicators
show the status of alarms and confirm RF level and signal strength. External
connections for Alarms, LVDS, SMPTE 310M and DVB-ASI are all
accessible from the rear panel. Click

Software
The msi 4400 Analyzer's software
runs on a dedicated Windows-based computer. The software provides
a complete display that shows all the critical 8vsb parameters,
in a clear easy to understand format.
User-configuration
of the tap weight scales display, data logging, SNR/MER/EVM
readout and chart, alarms and web-enabled remote control
are all standard features of the msi 4400 software.
Web Enabled Remote
Operation
The
8vsb Analyzer software offers full web access to the
msi-4400 as a standard feature. All of the displays
and controls available on the host computer are identically
available via the Internet.
In order to provide
the most rapid screen updates, data is transmitted
over the Internet in a highly compressed format, and expanded
at the remote computer. To accomplish this, a browser
plug-in runs on the remote computer. The browser plug-in is supplied
with your msi-4400, or it can be downloaded to any remote computer directly
from the host PC.
An unlimited number
of remote computers may access the 8vsb Analyzer, one
at a time. To allow for mulitple remote monitoring,
an optional software package is available from Modulation Sciences. Each optional
package allows three additional computers simultaneous
access.
Of course, only
one remote computer may have control of the Analyzer at any
time. The Host computer may be programmed
to restrict control access to specific remote users.
