Notes:

  1. Input or output selected from front panel.
  2. Specified video S/N ratio from -40 dBm to -10 dBm.
  3. This range may be extended with an appropriate RF attenuator.
  4. These characteristics are independent of input level from -40 dBm to -10 dBm, and channel frequency.
  5. Measured using SINE X / X, relative to North American M system pre-correction; 200 kHz (reference) to 4.0 MHz, including ripple.
  6. Video signal-to-noise ratio measured with aural carrier present.
  7. Operation down to an RF input level of -48 dBm practical with some increase in video noise.
  8. The I & Q outputs have matched 800 kHz low-pass filters.
  9. Measured with full field modulated ramp.
  10. Balanced, transformer coupled.
  11. Headphone output provided on switchboard quality tip, ring sleeve (TRS) three wire type phone jack. Tip and ring sourced separately to drive both ears of stereo headphones. Either tip or ring may be shorted as would happen with monaural headphones using a tip, sleeve (TS) two wire type phone plug.
  12. Measured using a Modulation Sciences, Inc. STV-784 Television Stereo Generator and a Modulation Sciences, Inc. SRD-1 Stereo Reference Decoder. All data gathered in BTSC Equivalent Mode, quasi parallel detection.
  13. 0 dB reference = 55 kHz deviation.
  14. In RF INPUT mode unit receives television channels. In IF INPUT mode, IF INPUT / OUTPUT BNC connector switches from being an IF output to being an IF input. The entire RF input portion is disabled in IF INPUT mode.
  15. The serial data interface is modified to permit daisy-chaining up to 9 units on one circuit. Each msi 320 has a user assigned address code.

All units supplied with aural notch SAW filter assembly.
