The model SCA-186 has set the standard for interference-free performance from a subcarrier generator. It combines the functions of an audio processor and subcarrier generator into one superbly engineered unit.
The four elements needed for successful subcarrier operation: generator, modulation monitor, audio processor and transmitter tuning aid form an integrated system which dramatically reduces crosstalk, significantly improves signal quality and simplifies the entire operation.
The SCA-186 contains a crystal-controlled subcarrier generator. The first in the industry that has such an extremely stable performance. The built-in modulation monitor is simple to read and accurate. A built-in noise generator and incidental AM noise meter allow for fine tuning to minimize crosstalk.
A composite loop-through feature simplifies installation. The SCA-186 will mix its subcarrier signal into the composite for routing to the transmitter. And a separately shielded power supply along with extensive bypassing for RF protection allows the SCA-186 to be installed in high RF environments.
